ABOUT SUSAN AVENT IRVINE

"I am a University of North Carolina studio art major who has been living in Charleston on and off for over 30 years. After completing college, I moved back to this beautiful city and have been in creative jobs ever since.

Originally raised in N.C. but I adopted Charleston as my hometown.

For many years I worked in photography and in art galleries around town.

Printmaking and photography were my mediums for many years. I love to experiment with other mediums but photography has helped inspire most of my pieces. I love crusty boats and buildings. Sunday drives on the back roads give me my inspiration.

Abstract expressionism with lots of color can be found in a lot of my pieces.

I am continually evolving my style since getting back into my art in the last few years."
